October 24thWomen in Quebec History  – the story of Marie Aveline Bengle.
SSUWC member and dynamic speaker,  Judith Schurman, will be our presenter.
November 28th Julian Armstrong.  The well-known Gazette food critic will talk about the evolution of cuisine in Québec over the years and will be selling copies of her book Made In Québec.

January 30thFestive Dinner. Our special guest speaker will be passionate bird watcher and member of Bird Protection Quebec,  Sheldon Harvey
February 27thSIDA Community Organization:  Virginia Thomas, Executive Director  of SDIA, an organization that supports community projects in 26 countries, especially a network of six community centers in the Congo, will speak to us about her work.
March 27thCaroline Bergeron from St. John’s Ambulance will be at the March 27th general meeting, together with two volunteers and a couple of four-legged furry friends. Topics will be Zoo Therapy and other services offered by the organization. (Members with allergies, please note that real dogs will be in the room during the presentation and the break.)
April 24thGoing Green in 5 Easy Steps featuring Philippa Settles, founder of Green Leaf Consulting, who has been an environment consultant for nearly eight years. She has been offering workshops and presentations to individuals, large and smart groups, at health fairs, schools and in corporate settings, covering the many health and environment benefits and different aspects of going green.  In 2016, she attended a UN training session hosted by McGill University and became a Certified Sustainable Development Goals advocate.
