CFUW 2019 AGM
and 100th Anniversary Celebrations
In 2019 the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) celebrated its 100th anniversary in the the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg, scene of the initial meeting in 1919.
In addition to topics normally covered at the CFUW’s Annual General Meeting, a plaque commemorating CFUW’s 100th anniversary was unveiled by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada and a gala (in period costume) was held to celebrate 100 Notable Women of the CFUW, who were piped into the Fort Garry Hotel Ballroom.
